Not enough system memory????

This is what i get when i try to start new game... Can some one help me please... Champ o1/02 is what am trying to paly...

It's because you have too many programs running at the same period of time. Close everything down apart from CM, and it should work.

It has nothing to do with that, Aaron.

Right click 'My Computer' > Properties > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced and right at the bottom is says 'Virtual Memory', click the tab, click the 'No Paging File' box, click set, apply changes, restart computer and the enjoy a season or ten.

I had this problem when using the editor... just go on your help panel on youur computer, type the problem in, and you should be able to sort it from there.

100% worked, Other suggestions didnt, i got 2gig memory i thought it was that but its because the game is so old my system didnt want to run it for some reason. ?!!?

Loaded Champ onto my new laptop today and was arsing about for a good hour trying to do this and that to get it to work.

I've got this trouble again but I don't want to install the .68 patch. Is there a way to make the game work without turning paging file off? I actually want paging file on because otherwise it messes up other games. What can I do?

yep i did that ages ago when i reinstalled it, its even on 95 so i dont know if thts helping or not, i used the act tool on the SI games site and its fine now

I am currently playing Notts county in the 00\01 version. There is no "how are you doing" thread there so i popped in here.
I would like to try 01\02 if i could get hold of it. Are there many dfferences does anyone know ?

Visually no difference (i.e. the interface is the same), I think they just added new media interaction, updated database, fixed some bugs and added Tó Madeira and then shipped it out. Definitely worth it though
