Nordin Wooter is a must, he's such a good dribbler, always seems to beat his man same goes for Pascal Bedrossian

Bessellink is also a great keeper and David Stockdale can be got on loan with no fee!

Nooitmeer is a solid rightback and Che Jenner and Thanh Doan work brillaintly together, though they do need a couple of games to gel

Craig Dobson is a good AMR and Billy McKay is a cracking little striker - I got them both on a free at the start of the second season for AFC Liverpool in the Blue Square Premier

Lol. As a Stevenage Borough fan I know Craig Dobson well.
Signed him from MK Dons to make his mighty return to the Boro.
Unfortunately for me it wasn't so mighty.

I'll try the other lad though.

Just to reiterate... When I say AMR/ST... I mean someone who plays both.
Jon Nurse being an example (cept he's useless).
I play Anthony Thomas there for 2 years. He was dynamite, even though he hardly scored. Still holds the record for most assists in 1 season. His stats are rubbish though and was well out of his depth in the football league.

There was some lad who plays for Oldham. Looks good but won't sign.

Mind you, I'm in League One now so may have to look elsewhere. My left side is unreal. But my right side is pretty average.

I need a good attacking right back as well. I'm sure I'll find one somewhere.

David McGoldrick might be an outside chance for AMR / ST then.......

Not very far into my LLM career but I'd recommend Gael Payet from the fantasically named french team, Tampon. Available on a free and an excellent DC. I have him currently partnering Thanh Doan as recommended here in my defense and we've been very tight.

Too expensive... but thanks for the help. I'll keep looking
Matas and Showunmi got 19 and 17 goals respectively last term.. so can I really expect to get a third striker doing the same?!

Billy McKay has got 9 goals in 13 starts and 3 sub appearances so far this season so I reckon he may exceed the golden "20 goals a season"!

You can get him on a free with a relatively low wage, comes to BSP , not sure about the others, I'm sure he would.
The man is a legend. I've signed him for Maidenhead United - so there's proof that he'll play absolutely anywhere in England - for a mere £250. A very talented and dependable central midfield all-rounder.

Another in similar mould is Giannis Kyriakou. He's a Cypriot Under-21 international and is another free signing. Him and Goulon are bossing my midfield at the moment, which is nice.

Joshua Howard is a reasonably good right winger who's playing for £25 a week - same with Ian Marsh on the left wing too, actually. Peter Jones is a reliable backup who can play on either wing or through the middle.

Paul Paton is a 21-year old Scottish right back who is absolutely class and has a profile full of double-figure stats - and all for a free transfer and £130 a week.

Finally, Wesley Barnard is a very good goalkeeper for any non-league level of football. He's a South African lad, so I'm not sure if he'll appear on all databases, though.

I'm running the huge database with leagues from England, Italy, Germany, Holland and Spain running, just for reference.

I second Paul Paton. Brought him in to my Braintree team and he's done well for me. I've also spotted Wesley Barnard, though I've not played him yet as my current GK (Craig Holloway) is apparently equally good.

From my team I'd also nominate Danny Hockton, John Frost & Gordon Hillis. The last two were on frees, and they were both 'sign at all costs' players. Should be good for BSP teams, I'm just about to find out for sure though!

Anyone have a good left midfielder who is decent with corners for the BSN?

My regular corner taker has 12 corner stat/12 freekick stat but sucks in everything else.

I strongly recommend you try and get Matty Richie on loan from Pompey.
Have you looked at your parent club?

I got Gary Holt while playing as Hyde United which was fantastic, especially with me being a Kilmarnock fan!

Paul Paton and Chris Joyce have been incredible for me too and they are easily affordable.

Marko Kramberger (DC)
Will Snowdon (DC)
Kieran Hall (MC)
Ben Hunter (ST)
(plus the already mentioned Mustapha Hadji)

All available on frees at the start of the game on a large database with just the English leagues loaded. They formed the spine of my team last season in the BSS. Kramberger (rated as a League 1 player by my coaches) was superb last season in all competitions and won the 'Supporters Player of the Year' award, ahead of Hadji (who himself had a tremendous season with 8 goals and 6 assists from midfield in 26 appearances). Snowdown, Hall and Hunter (all rated as League 2 standard) are great at the BSN/BSS level and given how well they did against BSP teams in the cups, they should do well in the BSP too.

Some I've got for FC United:

Benjamin Mulamehic (MC) - free - very good young midfielder
Jack Wilson (DC) - free - not great stats but absolute class in BSN, untried higher
Kieran Murphy (DRC) - free - don't put him at centre-back though, poor acceleration
Mark King (DL) - free - unimpressive stats, another one averaging well above 7
Conall Murtagh (MC) - free - transfer listed, took him on full-time, got about 7 goals from midfield before the halfway point of the season
Kyle Letheran (GK) - loan - reliable keeper available to loan.

You should get Jim Albancourt instead. He is much better than Payet though I have both of them. Payet is much weaker due to his slow pace and acceleration.

Even without loading all the players from Reunion, you should be able to get a whole team of good lower league players from Reunion clubs.

when starting a new game, load up all french players. Then check the team Concarneau. They have many great players who will go to blue square south/north but are easily capable of league 2.

Sorry. My error there! The name is Jim Ablancourt. He's from Tampon, a Reunionese club.

Bizy Tondele from RC Ledonian. You wont find many better typical target man then this one for the lower leagues.

(you need all players from France loaded up)

He seems to have gone downhill in my game. I am in 2011 already but it's probably due to him being on an amateur contract.

The french lower league players on the game vary in stats a lot. For example my player Boubacar Balde had finishing of 14, started a new game and his finishing is 9. That may be why his stats are bad.

The potential usually won't vary that much. After training and regular matches, he will improve though being on an amateur contract definitely hold him back.

Scott Gardner from Leeds is a great loan acquisition for any BSN/BSS and even most BSP sides. He can play DR/WBR/MR and can be easily trained for DL/WBL/ML and AMR. He's League One quality rated by all of my coaches as well.

Yeah, he's got good stats going forward. I've picked him up on a free in the second season for AFC Wimbledon in the BSP. Hasn't had a chance to shine though yet as Javan Vidal from Man City is keeping him out of the side.

I have a few players to add to the list.

My own finds:

Luis Mejia - brillant keeper for the lower leagues. 18 years old and his stats is rising
Matteo Andreini - versatile San Marino player. I played him on the defensive midfield and he was perhabs my most important player!
Pavol Vavrik - 29 year old defender from Slovakia. Tall, quick and very stable defender who will sign for BSN/S
Michael Haswell - I can see that a lot of you is playing with Wimbledon so a lot of you probably already know him. But to everyone else - buy him. I play with 3 central defenders and even though he is a DL he is really strong for me in the central defence.
Ramon Nunez - Really strong winger or att midfield bought after the 1. season and he has been amazing!
Pius N'diefi - bought as a substitute but he ended up scoring 10 goals in 20 games.
Tony Vairelles - Former french national who signs for BSN/S
Getulio - Strong striker from Bolivia. I had no problem with the Work Permit
Mohamed Benyachou- Another versatile player. He was strong for me whether he played in the central defence or as a right winger
Sammy Monin - Keeper without club. Did great for me until I signed Mejia. Sold him for 20k

Already mentioned players that I recommend:
Hugo - The best player for lower league football I have seen in the game so far. Ended up with an AvR of 7.40 after the first seasons and scored 15 goals
Negri - Slow but good winger
Onandi Lowe - Fast and tall forward
Emmanuel Omoyimni
Marius Jianu
David Firisua
Christian Negri
Papa Seydou Diop

Great list, only a few were willing to go to blue square south though. Would most of them go to blue square prem teams? Who does hugo play for? There are so many 'Hugo's' who look good for lower league football.

Any of the players you recommended good enough for League 1 or 2? I had a double promotion to L2 for my 3rd season and on course for promotion to League 1.

I have Alexandru Rada as my right winger and he managed 5 goals and 12 assists in League 2 with 3 games left. Vincent Richetin is my right back. Both players are labelled by my assistant manager as good players for League 1.

I am still in BSP and havent played in league 1 or 2 so it is hard for me to answer that question. But I am pretty sure Hugo would be a class act in League 1 as well. And perhabs Mejia - he looks like a player that is developing really fast.

I tried to get Mejia but he failed the work permit process. Hugo is already out of my reach in season 4.

Just a couple of players that are performing well for me with Hampton & Richmond;

Ian Hodges (ST) - top scorer so far with 15 goals in all competitions, starts at H&R.
Ashley Grimes (ST) - scored 13 goals in 12 games in a 3 month loan spell from Millwall.
Romone Rose (AMR/L) - very good winger on loan from QPR, has been performing very well.

Ever Guzman (ST) and Miguel Fraga (GK) have been great signings for my 1st season York team, both are transfer listed, I offered £0 and both clubs accepted. Jardel is another good signing, again offered £0 and was accepted.

Free transfer wise, Zigor Aranalde (D/WB/ML) is a class signing and equally good at left back or left midfield and Hoogervorst (DC) and Callum Blisset (RB) have both been solid at the back. The only player I've paid for so far has been Hugo, I paid 5k rather than have a sell on clause, cos I can't see him sticking around long, I'm hoping for a tasty million or so with some sell-ons for future League 2 and 1 signings

15 games in and I'm top of the BSP with 34 points, so they are doing the job at the moment

I would strongly recommend Dan Wordsworth and Ryan McGivern for for low league centre-backs. Wordsworth gets released by Carlisle and McGivern gets released by Man. City. I picked them up for free after the first season when they were both 18 years old, and brought them into my Conference South squad. Both have been workhorses in my low-league adventure, pulling consistent 7s in 30-40 apps per season. 6 seasons in, my squad is in League One, and there are many Premier and Championship clubs causing a fuss over this pair.

If I had to choose between the two it'd definitely be Wordsworth, but they are both great in my experience. Saved me a lot of effort from shopping around for new CBs, because I know I can rely on this pair for few more years at least.

David Le Moal (DL) has been superb for me this season with Northwich. So has Hérold Goulon (DM/M C)

Just wondering where people are finding 'Hugo', I've got players from Brazil, and when I search for his team, he doesn't appear to be there. Any ideas?

he is from desportivo brasil. Its also worth paying another 2-3k so that you don't have to include a hefty sell on clause. I paid 5k for him and he has been attracting interest from spain and the prem even when he is playing for me in the BSP. I've set his value to £5m to see if anyone bites

It's funny I just saw this thread as I signed Pascal Bedrossian, a AMLC from Armenia, he is 33 but a beast for this level, found him in the national team and signed him on the free, he already has several assists in his first few games and is making a big impression.

Anyone playing at Blue Square level should look him up for sure

Edit: My bad just saw the first post, see he was mentioned already.

Just had a look at him, made a offer as he was out of contract, assistant manager said he was a def signing, so went for it, wanted £300 a week, which is currently my highest payed player for Eastleigh, fans are also really pleased with the signing.
