Ibrahimovic. Definately.
Scored 49 goals in 33 games for Barcelona(not managed by me) in the league. Breaking all the records. This guy is worthy trying though, I like the all-rounder striker(fast and good with the head) |

Managing Spurs I bought Edin Dzeko for 22 mil. He has been an absolute phenomenon scoring 46 league goals in 36 games in his first season. Quality as a Targetman.

Dzeko has been very consistent too. Avg of 1.33 goal per game over 2 and a half season. Look no further my man. Should imagine we will see him in the Prem next season in real life too

my vote goes to dzeko too. bought for 20million in the first season and that man has been sweeping all the individual awards dry. first season he scored a decent 24 goals from 34 games with 11 assist, second season 36 games 41 goals 6 assist and for my current season 35 games with 43 goals and 12 assist. Absolute class

Not had too much experience with strikers but so far I'd say that Tevez has to be up there. 2nd highest top scorer in the EPL behind Torres in my first season but his stats keep improving an second season, he is tearing it up massively.

Cardozo for sure. 144 in 167 games for me at Sunderland. He scored 38 in 38 in his second season.

It really depends on the tactic if you ask me and the players each striker has behind him. I believe there is no such thing as "Best Striker of the game". Something like "List of the best strikers" would be better.

Well the idea is to pick a striker that fits any type of tactic. Dzeko, Welliton, and Torres for instance all have pace, heading, finishing, dribbling, and good mental stats. All-around strikers that are excellent no matter how you play them.

Yet again each one speaks of his own experience. But they don't play with the same teams. Dzeko in Barcelona would be better than Dzeko in Wolfsburg. Don't know if you get what I mean...

With no regard to tactics, my vote goes to Torres. He plays well with any set of tactics. For me, the only time he's muted is ironically if you give him a partner up front.

I think i've finally got the dream strikeforce together in my 4th season at Wolfsburg- Dzeko, Welliton and Cardozo.
Dzekos form over the 4 years in the league for me: 1st season: 26 in 34, with 5 assists and 5 MOM, average rating 7.21 2nd season: 28 in 31, with 11 assists and 8 MOM, average rating 7.61 3rd season: 31 in 31 with 7 assists and 12 MOM, average rating 7.66 4th season (so far): 13 in 7 with 2 assists and 4 MOM, average rating 8.21 Hes only 26 as well so he's going to get better, he is phenomenal. Cardozo over 4 years: 1st season(Benfica): 24 in 33, with 10 assists and 2 MOM, average rating 7.64 2nd season(Wolfsburg, joined me for 6.5 mil.): 18 in 28 with 10 assists and 5 MOM, average rating 7.44 3rd season: 21 in 32, with 11 assists and 4 MOM, average rating 7.42 4th season (So far): 7 in 9 with 1 assists and 1 MOM, average rating 7.50 Not as good as Dzeko, but then again i use Dzeko as the main striker, so it could be the other way round in their positions swapped, but an absolute bargain at 6.5 mil, really. Welliton over 4 years: 2009 season(Spartak Moscow): 10 in 12, no assists and 3 MOM,average rating 7.98 2010 season (Spartak Moscow): 13 in 23, 5 assists and 5 MOM, average rating 7.67 2010-2011 (Fiorentina, joined them for 21.5M): 7 in 12, 1 assist and no MOM, average rating 7.07 2011-2012 (Fiorentina): 10 in 22, no assists and no MOM, average rating 6.83. 2012-2013 (Wolfsburg, joined me for 7.5mil + 10 mil rated Eduardo Salvio(who Fioretina had offered 14 for a couple of days before): 5 in 8, 4 assists and no MOM, average rating 7.35. Hes been better for me after a pretty shoddy spell at Fiorentina. To be honest, out of my expierience, i would say Dzeko is the best striker in the game, the boy has everything. Hes got his amount of goals per season without free kicks, any special corner routines and only around 2 penalties a year. Cardozo is brilliant as well, but seems to have runs of not scoring. Wellinton seems good so far, but not up to the standard of the other two. |

im surprised Yanis Tafer did not get any mention. I'll vote for him since i got him on a free transfer on the beginning of my third season.
The lad knocked 34 goals out of 36 games for me for that season. Currently he's already hit 36 goals out of 39 games he played. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4992/yanistafer.jpg Quote:

It's a real tough one in my game but my vote goes to Torres 83 goals over 115 games and he never stops running but my second man, Gilardino is also very very good

when CPU manages Man City, i would say the overpowered Carlos tevez. he had off the top of my head around 40 goals in one premier league season alone. this amount happened only once but still....

Against the likes of Fernando Torres, Sergio Agüero and Edin Džeko from 3 seasons in onwards he'll never get a game. Although he's a good striker he's just not on the same calibre as those bunch.

True if you are using Tevez but the CPU runs absolutely riot with him he's gotten 132 goals in 157 games and even my defence (Sakho and Miranda) is terrified of him!

Definately Ibra. In my 4 years of a Barca game I can't recall the stats exactly but he had like 1.5 goals per game over 4 seasons. Villa playing off him, with Fabregas, Xavi, and Iniesta in midfield and Messi between as a trequartista. It was like FM heaven going forward and I absolutely cleaned up all trophies avaliable

I don't really understand this thread.
There is no 'best striker'. What works for some, may not work for others. It's alright having your Ibrahimovic's and Dzeko's of this world, but if their instructions are wrong, they won't won't play well. Hell, even if they're instructions are right, if they haven't got midfielders feeding them, they won't score. |

Welliton for me as since I got him back to Brazil he has bagged 116 goals in 110 appearences.
Just to add to how good he is my other striker, who isn't afraid of bagging himself a few goals has played in 276 games and scored 183 times in five and a half seasons! |
