I have spent this afternoon creating a World Super League in the editor. It is (very loosely) based on the English league system.
Information:
Screenshots: World Premier Division - 20 teams: World Championship Division - 24 teams: World League 1 - 24 teams: World League 2 - 24 teams: World League 3 - 24 teams: World League 4 - 22 teams: World League 5 - 22 teams: World League 6 - 22 teams: World League 7 - 22 teams: World League 8 - 22 teams: World League 9 - 22 teams: World League 10 - 22 teams: World League 11 - 22 teams: World League 12 - 22 teams: So what do I do when I've downloaded it? Save it in: documents > sports interactive > football manager 2010 > editor data. Then what? Load up FM. Click on new game. Select your database (mine is 10.2.0). Click the 'change' button on the right of 'Editor Data Files'. Select 'World Super League'. (The nation should be England). Allow the game to load. Make sure the Engand box is ticked on the nations list. The drop down menu should go down to World League 8. Where there any problems with it? No. I holidayed for 2 seasons and no errors were seen. If anyone does find any, let me know. If anyone also has any future recommendations post it in the thread and I'll consider releasing a v.2, if they are worthwhile. Retainable Players: As the database is reasonably big, with a large range of players, some teams won't have a full squad when you load a default large database. My advice is to retain players from the nation of the team you want to manage. A lit of the nations that have teams in the World Super Leagues can be found here: Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Scotland, Austria, Greece, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Czech Rep, Croatia, Switzerland, Chile, Hungary, Norway, South Korea, Poland, Paraguay, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Egypt. Is that it? Well, yeah. Enjoy and make sure you leave some feedback if you try it. ![]() Download: Last edited by Nick; 09-01-2010 at 02:50 PM. |

Wow, this must have taken taken long. Bet you've been wanting to do something like this for a long time though.
Same question. |

OK, forgive I havent been home to try this DB out yet but does the Super League replace all the other leagues from around the world, meaning its the only league running?

i see you've put teams in a division based on their reputation?
which i don't find accurate for teams like Sao Paulo, they theoretically stand no chance. still a very good effort

hmm well depending on what purchases i make i suppose?
i don't doubt the brazilians, i just think that european top flight teams are generally stronger due to funds etc... especially in a game based on player statistics, Sao Paulo should theoretically be a relegation candidate. though you never know i suppose

Im playing this at the moment i picked Hoffenheim because i have a soft spot for Zuculini and Salvio theyre normally 2 of my normal buys. In my 3rd season now, got promoted the last 2 seasons and currently top of division 5. Ive had a lot of fun with this update thanks for the post.

hey, i've had a problem with loading saying there is something wrong with the rule settings, ie too many teams in one place not and not enough in another, is there anything i can do about this
also when i went on the database in my editor the divisions were devoid of teams, is this a fault at my end or with the data |

I tried this, but when i select the file in game it say its not valid because no teams exist in the leaugue. Might this be to do with me not having the patch?

So the database loads fine with all the teams where they're supposed to be? Strange.
Then you load FM and tick the Super League box in the change edit data? |

No what im saying is the database loads with the leagues there, just the leauges are empty so it wont loads the game. I think what i may do is just enter all the teams in manually =/

well basicly when i opened the file on the editor i found out all of the teams in the world leaugue were absent from the league so arsenal are in the prem inter in serie a etc etc. Thus when i went to start a game using this database it wouldnt let me for obvious reasons
thus i was wondering was this a fault with the database or if i had to enter the teams manually |

I have added a v.2 of the database in the opening post. This database has reserve and under 18's leagues that mirror the current league setups.
Enjoy! |

yes it is if you dont have patch 10.2.0 it doesnt work it comes up with some error that there are to many leagues in one place ( cant remember exactly what it was ) i downloaded 10.2.0 installed it and it worked perfect. I had the same problem when i treid to get this working. All i need to do was install 10.2.0 and no problems at all since.

I'm not sure what happens with the reserve leagues. Teams like Met Police, Ware and other shite like that have a reserve team, but teams like Ajax (in world league 1) don't.
All the World Premier Division and World Championship Division teams have reserve and youth teams, but further down, they don't. If anyone has any ideas of a way around this, then let me know. |

Well, I'm not entirely sure about the whole thing. One thing I did notice, however, is that certain teams still have their B teams in a reserve league in their original country i.e Bayer Leverkusen B are playing in the German Regional Division West. I still don't think that explains it, but it could be part of the problem.

Nick - i'm afraid you picked the wrong "Unirea" team in League 4. I know you meant to pick Unirea Urziceni, but i think you picked Unirea Alba Iulia.

In the World League rules there's a mistake as it says that 16th placed team wins 109.250.000 (in euros). Apparently you accidentaly pressed two numbers instead of 1.
Now that I opened the editor I've found out what it was. The prize money for the 16th place team in the World Premier Division contain one extra "zero" (in pounds). Last edited by Adramelch; 03-01-2010 at 06:17 AM. |

i finaly got it working via inputting manually and i really liked it, apart frrom having everyone in one big sqaud but enabling reserve and u18 leagues sorted this out.
Apart from that its a really enjoyable set up. Playing as arsenal atm sitting pretty at the top on gd after 10 games. AC milan are 19th!! crazy stuff. One recomendation though i'm not sure how doable this is. But a way for teams outside the league to work a way in maybe via a playoff of sorts, im not sure tbh. I'm not sure if you flicked a switch but regens are appearing like no ones business, it makes the game really interesting as alot of the big teams are buying them.
Also theres a problem regerading fixutre clashes occasionaly. On the 5.9.09 i clahsed with an int fixture meaning i had to field a team of reserves and youth players against a new to full strenth roma side, i somehow won 4-0. Im not sure, maybe it was a one off but i think its deffinatly something that needs to be kept an eye on |

Nick, I have something more for you.
Lower League and National Cup taking place at the same period cause a very big congestion of fixtures. I had a league game in Saturday, a national cup game in Monday, a lower league cup in Wednesday and ofcourse another league game next Saturday. So that's 4 games in a week. |

Just check if it is possible to "transfer" the lower league cup later on, so that it starts around December/January.

I tried to add a poll to the existing thread but failed, so apologies for yet another thread about this database! I'll try and merge this thread with the other existing one, but I don't promise that will work.
I wanted to gauge peoples views on the current setup and any improvements. The poll options should reflect this. ![]() From a personal point of view, I've been thinking about making a few more levels. How far I'd like to go, I'm not sure. So I wnted to hear peoples views on this. |
