The FM 2012 YouTube Thread

This year sees us able to record and upload different parts of the match, not just replays of goals. In-keeping with that, my game away at Liverpool has just seen a Fernando Torres-esque miss from Wayne Rooney.

Not that it mattered in the end. We won 6-2 and 'Wazza' scored two and set up another.

Share all your goals, misses, unpunished fouls, two-footed tackles and anything else you can think of in here.

I'm having problems with viewing (and thus also uploading) 3D view games and highlights. The game freezes when switching to a 3D view. No problem in the old 2D view though.

My system specs should be good enough: laptop with Intel i7 2720QM and GeForce GT 540M. Who can help me with this?

I've got my hands on some editing software that should be compatible with the clips exported from the game. I'll have to have a play about to see whether I can make it look anything less than shit though.

Have you tried a reinstall of the demo Tommo? It could be that you have a corrupt file in there.

No I haven't tried that. To be honest it doesn't matter to me for the demo but I'll try it when I start a new demo game and enter the details when I make the manager.

Did you update DirectX and your graphic card drivers from the manufacterer? Sometimes a file they distribute is a bit bugged and can cause problems, so it never hurts updating your driver software and directx.

I checked both, and they are up to date. That was something I thought of before, but didn't mentioned in my post. Sorry for that.

I played GTA4 and I didn't have problems with that game. I did have this same problem with FM11 as well, but I didn't want to upload or view 3D in that version. It only became an issue with this demo.

I am affraid you have to wait for some official reaction on the SI Games forum then. Can't think about any more reasons, other than your graphics card is faulty (yes, a gfx card can crash with one game and run perfect with the other), or that it simply is a glitch in the match engine with specific gfx card types.

In preferences under display (I think) there's a option for the upload quality. You can change it to a higher setting there.

It's where the 360p dropdown is. You can set it all the way up to 1080p.

I had a reply on the official SI forum and they said I had to set my graphic settings to the internal graphic card and not the GeForce card. It works that way, but I only get 2 stars out of 5 for 3D performance and not 4 stars.

Yeah I could've had I thought about it. Not sure how long you can record for although presumably they would set no time limit. I think the issue would be whether you could be arsed sitting waiting for a long clip to encode then upload. I know it takes an age on my laptop.

...or the limit is 5 minutes

I think the limit per custom recording it 50 seconds but the total clip length limit is 5 minutes.
