The Dugout is looking for new team members!

Introduction
Years ago, even before most of the people currently making up the 'regulars' at our community, The Dugout used to have a content crew. During the period prior to 2005, the once oh-so numerous crew slowly dwindled to a mere 2 people and resulted in the closure of the mainsite.

As of April 2011, the mainsite is back and during the first couple of months we noticed that a dedicated team would be required to help the mainsite flourish again. After some deliberation we came to the conclusion that it would be rather tough to withdraw people from the moderator group, so we decided to introduce 'The Blues'.

TD Content Team
'The Blues' will be known as the TD Content Team, who in their turn will be working together with the TD Content Manager (Nick) and two TD Content Moderators (The Bruce and Reiver). As a member of the TD Content Team you will be required to produce quality content on a regular basis, to keep a steady flow of fresh FM related items coming on to the site.

Take Notice
Since we don't want people to apply under false pretences, please take note of the fact that we will maintain a pretty high standard, and although we understand that it should always remain fun and a hobby, there will be a set of rules that makes it possible to 'exclude' people from the content team. Not to worry though, as we're not expecting you to cough up something every day, but just enough to ensure the main site gets a steady flow of content for a long period of time.

How to apply
In order to apply we want people to fill out a couple of questions and hand in 2 pieces of high quality content. This can be a guide, a well constructed custom league, a couple of player profiles or anything else that is related to Football Manager.

Send this all in a PM to Nick and Mark.

You could just repeat this process every couple of months.

I've been absolutely hectic since moving to Cheltenham, so haven't had much time for FM or TD.

Also, the uni has blocked Steam so I can't get the game activated until I go home at Christmas.

Surely that will mean that you won't be able to play the game whilst at uni? Because you need Steam on, to launch FM?

If I'm right (I'm probably not) that will suck.

I think as long as I set up to play in offline mode I should be fine. That's what I did to my FM11 and that's working fine. I just can't activate anything.

Brings me back to the days when I was around 13 and first discovered the (old) Dugout as a way to talk about CM01/02. What a game that was!

Didn't take me too long to get hooked on the place, mainly The Managers Diaries in the early days. Hopefully you get a few good guys on your books, I havn't read any of the content on the main site yet, as there is so much useful information here as it is, but shall be migrating over there to have a look.

The FM community is (at SI's behest) fundamentally based around voluntary sharing of information, so no.

Lad. I've probably seen out and about in Cheltenham then, what halls you based in?

EDIT: To activate Steam just go to the Library in Town Center and install Steam on one of the machines, log in and activate there then install of a hard disk.

Probably mate, you've graduated now haven't you? I'm based in Regency Halls, and we usually hit MooMoos and Subtone, so probably would've seen me around if you've been in them.

I got my Dad to bring up his laptop for me, as he was visiting today, so I'll try and get the game and try the library.

Nah mate, I'm on placement year, working full time in a firm behind Cav House. Yeh standard isn't it, the choice for Mondays are pretty gash these days and make me realise how long I've been down here when the places we used to go to have either been renamed 20 times or closed. Dakota mondays were the shit. Venture much into Lace/Place/Moda, the mondays in there were decent. Bring on next year when I can get back into the swing of things.

I'm not a fan of Lace, just stinks of feet, although Halloween was good there. There's a bar that's just re-opened opposite Shooters sports bar on the High St and that's good on a Monday night. Any drink is a £1 after 8pm.

I've got the game working now, I managed to download a programme which stops the uni network banning steam.

I couldn't come up with enough to write about (and have too many other games and schoolwork and shit to work on, especially come next semester). But if you can find some people to work on transfer budgets, they can take the numbers I already have. (Also been wanting to test out the youth recruitment thing to see how it works exactly but well..its work and I want to have fun with the game someday xD)

Evening all,

The Dugout Content Team are looking for a new member.

We're looking for someone to provide a weekly review of our Your Game section. I know it was discussed elsewhere on the site, but with the FM Moderators concentrating their efforts elsewhere, Mark and I agree that the Content Team should take on this responsibility.

The role is specific to this review. The member won't have to contribute anything else to the team. The chosen member will have to provide Mark and I their copy of the review each week.

So how do you 'apply'?

I'd like you to give us a sample review of the last week's Your Game section. You can focus on as many or as few threads as you like. There is no restriction on the number of words and no extra points for fancy formatting.

You should PM your 'application' to both Mark and myself.
