The French Football Thread
In grave’s fourth season he is currently managing Evian TG in Ligue 1. He had little transfer activity- bringing in Cheick Tiote and Mbaye Niang. Evian didn’t quite manage to retain their league title, finishing 2nd, 12 points behind league winners PSG. They progressed from a Champions League Group of Olympiacos, Manchester United and Valencia, and overcame Leverkusen 6-3 on aggregate in the 1st Knockout Round. However, they met fellow French side Marseille in the Quarter Finals, and went out 2-6 over two legs. The club has shown signs of moving upwards, with a new stadium ‘Evian TG Stadium’ with a capacity of 26,000 due to be completed in June 2016.

Forza currently finds himself managing Montpellier, who in real life are currently doing well. In his first season with Montpellier he was predicted to finish 16th, but overcame all the odds to finish 2nd in the table, missing out on the title by 3 points to Lille. The club will play in the Champions League Group Stage next season and will look to make an impact in Europe.

Palace spent Ł11.25M improving his Nancy side throughout the season, bringing in Serge Aurier and Dominique Malonga as the biggest names. The club finished a respectable 5th place, and have already arranged signings of Juan and Adel Taarabt.

Toulouse FC, under Byron, managed to secure their first league title under his reign in 2014/2015. The club missed out on the Europa League, reaching the final but losing to trigger spending Manchester City 3-2, an Edin Dzeko 91st minute goal breaking Toulouse hearts. They won the Coupe de la Ligue to consolidate, and were eliminated in the 11th round of the Coupe de France.

The Italian Football Thread
Moving to the Southern section of Europe and to one of the biggest leagues. Prescott, managing Napoli, won the league in his debut season with the club, 11 points clear of Udinese. They also reached the Quarter Final of the Champions League, and were drawn against Arsenal. Wenger’s boys proved too strong, and Napoli lost 3-4.
Nkosi’s Fiorentina side have just 7 games left of the season. They sit 2nd place on 60 points, and are 6 behind league leaders Inter Milan, and A.C Milan sit one point below Fiorentina. Things are tight in Serie A.

The Dugout Premier League
A bit of a rare update here, to celebrate the opening of the Dugout Premier League. Waffelz’s Aston Villa side secured a 2-1 victory over Graves’ Malaga, and it was success for P_3’s Shakhtar side as they beat PSG 1-0. Waffelz played his second game against Indoctrin’s Napoli, and the Italians ran out 3-1 winners courtesy of Cavani and Bruno Alves. Toulouse FC, managed by Byron, beat fellow French side Lille (managed by yours truly) 2-0 in a game which was dominated by Toulouse.

Stouters’ Sevilla side lost out surprisingly to Santos, Vagner Love scoring for Greggsy’s side. Santos recorded a second win, beating Roma 2-1. Stouters faced Sporting Lisbon in Sevilla’s next encounter, but the game ended 2-2. Backbeats Sporting faced Kizmarlo’s Leverkusen and lost out 2-0.

Leverkusen faced the impressive Santos, and were held to a 2-2 draw in Santos.

Soulmann’s Everton kicked off the season with a strong 3-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon, whilst Santos got their first defeat, losing 1-2 to Shakhtar.

PSG were defeated for the second time 3-1 by Leverkusen, and will hope to pick up their form.
