Additional informationAlso founded in the 1975-76 season during the restructuring of Scottish League football, the Second Division provides the sandwich between the ‘want to haves’ and the ‘stay alives’ of the First and Third Divisions. A mixture of teams from the lower reaches of Scottish football and teams that seem never to be promoted or relegated, somewhat stuck in a perpetual state of just playing football.
Take control of an ex-Highland League team and lead them up the divisions or take over a team that once played with the big boys but were relegated for financial mismanagement. Pick one of the ‘limbo clubs’ and break the chains of mediocrity, make them into a force in Scottish Football.
