These PPM's cannot be taught to a player through interaction via private chats, the player can only be created with them already in their characteristics.
Gets Into Opposition Area
Meaning: The player will look to get forward into the opposition area to support attacks.
Positives: An extra attacking player in the area.
Negatives: If the player chooses to get forward at the wrong time, you are one player short, should a counter attack develop.
Attributes Required: Anticipation, off the ball, decisions.
Best Suited Position: Attacking players. Wingers, attacking midfielders and support strikers.
Hugs Line
Meaning: Player will stick to the byline when in possession of the ball
Positives: Creates natural width
Negatives: Creates natural width!
Attributes Required: Crossing, Passing, Pace
Best Suited Positions: Wingers, Full Backs
Arrives Late In Opposition Area
Meaning: The player will ghost late into the oppositions penalty area un-noticed and try and get himself a goal.
Positives: The attacking team can catch the opposition cold by having some sneak un-noticed into the area. It gives them an extra, often un-marked man in the box.
Negatives: The added player in the penalty area leaves your side open to counter-attacks.
Attributes Required: Anticipation, off the ball,
Best Suited Position: AMC and CM.
Runs With Ball Rarely
Meaning: Opposite to the above, a player will look to pass the ball instead of dribble with it
Positives: Good for players that don’t match the requirements of the previous PPM
Negatives: Same as previous
Attributes Required: Opposite of the above
Best Suited Positions: Sitting midfielders, defenders
Plays No Through Balls
Meaning: The player will not look to play ball through the defence. Preferring to keep the ball infront of the backline.
Positives: Higher possession due to players playing safer passes.
Negatives: When the opportunity arises to play a ball through and it doesn't go that way, you could miss out on a goalscoring chance.
Attributes Required: No specific stats.
Best Suited Position: Central defenders and defensive midfielders.
Curls Ball
Meaning: The player will look to curl the ball when the opportunity arises.
Positives: The flight on the ball is going to be more difficult for defenders and goalkeepers to pick up.
Negatives: High technique and skill is required to execute the skill.
Attributes Required: Technique, crossing, passing, flair.
Best Suited Position: Wingers.
Dictates Tempo
Meaning: The player will use the ball to impress upon his team how quickly the game should be played
Positives: Intelligent players can see how the other team is playing and adjust the tempo of their play to suit
Negatives: Requires a loose role for the player to be effective, maybe not adhering to the rigid team instructions
Attributes Required: Passing, Creativity, Technique, Decisions
Best Suited Positions: Creative central midfielders, attacking midfielders, creative centre backs
Dwells On Ball
Meaning: The player will keep the ball at his feet instead of releasing it.
Positives: It allows the attacking players to take up a better position than they are already in.
Negatives: Holding the ball for too long could allow an opponent to close your player down and tackle them.
Attributes Required: Strength, composure, balance.
Best Suited Position: Targetmen, defensive midfielders.
Tries To Play Way Out Of trouble
Meaning: Instead of just hoofing the ball clear, the player will try and play a short pass or dribble away from an attacker.
Positives: If executed, your team will keep possession much easier.
Negatives: It's risky. Defenders usually lack the technical skills to pull it off.
Attributes Required: Composure, dribbling, technique.
Best Suited Position: Centre midfielders. Anyone who isn't too close to the goal.
Stays Back At All Times
Meaning: The player will stay in his own half and not look to attack at all.
Positives: The player is far less likely to be caight out of position.
Negatives: The PPM is largely useless for attacking players.
Attributes Required: N/A
Best Suited Position: Centrebacks or defensive midfielders.
Plays With Back To Goal
Meaning: The player will face his team mates and look to receive the ball with his back to the goal
Positives: If the player receives the ball he can potentially turn the defender marking him and be through on goal
Negatives: The player has to be smart when turning to ensure he keeps the ball, it is also an extra motion of movement to get into a goal scoring position
Attributes Required: Anticipation, Technique, Acceleration, Finishing
Best Suited Positions: Targetmen, Strikers, Cutting in Wingers
